The Australian Government’s Community Water Grants allows schools and other community-based groups to apply for funding of up to $50,000.00, for projects encouraging the wise use of water. Chadoak Plumbing is a GREEN plumbing company, and is keen to promote a culture of wise water use. We believe that most schools and industry could use stored rainwater for toilet flushing significantly reducing the amount of drinking water used and paid for through the water meter. An example of water savings is given below.
If each student flushes a toilet only once per day. 100 students would flush 900 litres per day = 4500 litres per week. 40 weeks of school per year equates to 180,000 litres of drinking water per year. An audit of your property may find other ways to save water and money. If you would like further information on the WATER GRANTS, please visit www.communitywatergrants.gov.au If you would like an obligation free audit of your property and a quotation on the supply and installation of a rainwater tank please phone Paul Miles, Paul Griffin or Jim Griffin on 9561 2266. Save Water! Good idea. Good for you, good for them, good for the planet.
