BACKFLOW PREVENTION
Polluted or contaminated water can kill, if it gets back into the main water supply. At Chadoak we are dedicated to backflow prevention and the need to protect safe drinking water. We can conduct an audit of your premises to ascertain your requirements and design a system for your needs.
The Australian standard for water supply (AS 3500.1:2003) states, “All water supply systems shall be designed, installed and maintained so as to prevent contaminants from being introduced into the water supply system.”
We therefore offer the following services:

THERMOSTATIC MIXING VALVES
Hot water scalds easily - 60 degrees Celsius can cause third degree burns in only 1 second.
The 'Code of Practice for Thermostatic Mixing Valves in Health Care Facilities' 1990 requires proprietors of health care facilities to ensure the temperature of hot water at each bath and shower is controlled to avoid the risk of scalding. TMV’s do this by automatically mixing hot and cold water so the temperature is regulated.
Log books are required to be kept on site to prove testing and maintenance procedures have been adhered to.
